Cloverdale
This is one of the quietest neighbourhoods in Edmonton, but it does host the Edmonton Folk Music Festival during the summer and is also home to the distinct Muttart Conservatory pyramids.
Cloverdale consists mostly of single-family dwellings, with some apartments and townhouses. The neighbourhood has a mix of incomes and age groups, with slightly more senior residents found here than in other Edmonton areas.

Parkallen
Parkallen is a family-focused and heavily residential neighbourhood in south Edmonton. The street network here is set up as a grid, which was a popular style in post-World War II Edmonton. The housing stock is predominantly made up of single-detached housing – these are typically bungalows and semi-bungalows.
The neighbourhood is arranged around a local park and school which are the hub of the area. Residents also love proximity to the Southgate Shopping Centre and the prestigious University of Alberta campus.

Strathcona
Strathcona is one of Edmonton’s oldest neighbourhoods, and it’s also one of the most popular neighbourhoods to live in. Strathcona is located south of downtown, and it’s bounded by the North Saskatchewan River to the north and the University of Alberta to the west.
Strathcona has a lot to offer its residents, including a variety of housing options, a public transportation system, and easy access to the downtown area.
Strathcona has many amenities nearby including shopping malls, schools, and restaurants with Whyte Avenue drawing both tourists and residents alike for entertainment. This runs through the heart of Old Strathcona.

Ritchie
The real estate market in Ritchie is going strong. This isn’t just because the location and amenities are good—it’s also due to the diverse mix of housing available here. Whether you’re looking for an apartment or condo, a single-family home, or something in between, Ritchie has it all, and it’s also one of the most affordable neighbourhoods to live in Edmonton.

Aspen Gardens
Aspen Gardens is a residential neighbourhood in southwest Edmonton, Canada overlooking the Whitemud Creek Ravine. It’s an affluent area filled with tree-lined streets and large single-family homes situated on spacious lots. There’s an excellent elementary school and junior high school here, which is a major selling point for families.
In terms of local activities, most amenities are just a 10-minute drive away, but there’s plenty of access to local parks and pathways that are designed for cyclists and pedestrians.

Garneau
Garneau is a residential neighbourhood to the south of the river in the city of Edmonton, Alberta. Whyte Avenue and 109 Street cut through the area, offering access to cafes, restaurants, clothing stores, barbershops, and drug stores.
There is a significant amount of home rentals in the area, with 85% of residents living within rented dwellings. But new developments are being built, giving more people the opportunity to buy their own homes.
The Garneau community has an active citizen committee that organizes various events throughout the year including farmers markets, fundraisers, and celebrations such as Canada Day festivities. There are also many festivals held at nearby Hawrelak Park each summer.

Windsor Park
Windsor Park is one of the main residential areas that serves the University of Alberta campus and is located just to the west of the quad on the banks of the Saskatchewan River. This sub-division is one of the oldest in the University district, and had already begun development before it became incorporated into Edmonton.
Homes for sale in Windsor Park are primarily single family dwellings with an older construction. This gives the community an older village feel, and makes it very attractive as a relaxing and peaceful place to live. Many of the lots in this section are fairly large for an urban setting and the copious use of trees and natural landscaping adds to the quaint atmosphere.
Schools in Windsor Park are well rated and can accommodate children of any age range. Along with institutes of higher learning, facilities within the community include Windsor Park School and Windsor Park Pre-school. These can be found centrally within the sector and are surrounded by park land as well as near to the community skating rink.
